I grabbed the most recent nightly build to upgrade my k2 files (01/12)
and now I get a message when I try to configure the K2 options, I get
the following message: "The directory: /opt/www/blogs/wordpress/wp-
content/themes/k2/styles, needed to store custom styles is missing.
For you to be able to use custom styles, you need to add this
directory."

The problem is that this is not the correct path. I have never had to
set this before and would like to avoid setting a system link to fix
this bug. What can I do to fix this?

Hey Loki,

The styles directory is set when you activate K2, and fetches the home of K2 and adds /styles (line 39, styles.php). If you know how to, you can manually change the option in WP's db, it's called 'k2stylesdir'.

Have you tried deactivating and reactivating K2 and see if that helps?

Where is your correct styles path? You need to go to K2 Options > Styles, select the appropriate enclosing directory from the drop-down and enter the rest of the path.

For example, if your styles path is at:

/opt/www/blogs/wordpress/wp-content/k2support/styles

you would select [wp-content] for the dropdown and "k2support/styles" in the textfield.

Hi,

I tried to deactivate and reactivate but that didn't fix it.

The issue with the path is not that styles is incorrect but wordpress
is not the name of the folder and hasn't been ever since the
installation.

Any further thoughts?

What is the path to your wp-content folder?

k2 is saying "wordpress/wp-content/themes/K2 1.0.3/styles, needed to

store custom styles is missing. For you to be able to use custom
styles, you need to add this directory. " even though I had to rename
the k2 folder to k21.0.3 so there were no spaces. It doesn't even work
if I do make the path it thinks it needs.

and I don't know how to edit the database

The only reason I have to fool around with styles is because you
removed the icons

nevermind, I fixed it by changing the styles directory in k2 options
to child theme - styles.
