french impressionism unit study ideas?

I am planning a two day unit on French Impressionists for an educational co-op
(ten children ranging in ages from 5-11). I plan to use Linnea in Monet's
Garden, several coffee table-type artbooks on impressionism. I need an idea
for a hands-on activity that can be completed in a short amount of time. I
don't think a full painting in impressionistic style will work. Any ideas?
Other resources? I'll post my overall outline and resource list when completed
if there is any interest.
