Test/Quiz Writing Software?

creating test and quiz formats. Are you aware of any software that
allows me to simply create test and quizzes? Many thanks.

If your high school has adopted McDougall-Littell, they provide a test
generator for use in the school that has test banks for their textbook and
also the capability to input your own questions and tests. It's free--if
you use their textbook.
I understand several other textbook publishers do the same. Check the boxes
of support materials that came with your most recent textbooks and see if a
CD with a test generator on it is included.

It's a pity that, with all the lip service being paid to the
importance of technology in education today, there is not an NEA or
AFT web site just jam packed with useful, reliable "free" software
(perhaps created with some of the money currently being spent on all
manner of $%&#!.)

Right on!!!!! I have looked and looked and looked for something as simple as a
simple easy to use graphing package that will allow me to graph a simple linear
or quadratic function or inequality --- so that it has easily readable axis ...
grid etc .... and is functional with Microsoft Word ... yeah ... there's some
very sophisticated graphing packages ... I'd even pay for it - you wouldn't
believe this but I've been looking for YEARS for something like this ... not as
easy as you'd think ... but <sigh> ...
Then again .. of the 18 math teachers in my department perhaps 5 of us are
functional users of MS Word - and I'm the only one in the department that could
be considered somewhat of an "expert" ... that's another story.
Right on Jim .. a web site as a central repository for something like this would
be a great, and I mean G R E A T idea. I guess that it's not "political" enough
for something like the National Extortion Association.

Have you posted a query in alt.comp.freeware?
They had a thread on graph paper that began on 6/18/03 and
they came up with several different programs... so if they
can find a free graph paper generator, maybe someone knows
of a graphing program to go along with that graph paper.

from (-10,-10) to (+10,+10). The graph is a GIF image
which can be saved and pasted into documents.
