Pinch to Zoom Not Working

K9 pinch to zoom stopped working on my AT&T Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket after I upgraded to the stock ICS 4.0.4 from AT&T.  It worked fine under GB, both 2.3.5 and 2.3.6. I have tried the following:

- Full reset

- Uninstall K9 and reinstall

- Toggled pinch to zoom off and on

- Tried restarting the phone between toggles

 

I am not sure what else to try.  Not a deal breaker, but I really liked the pinch to zoom function.  Would like it back if possible.

As a data point, it works fine for me: K-9 4.120 on CM10 (also
reportedly ICS 4.0.4), on my Nook Color.

Which version of K-9 are you running?

I am using the same version and it works on my tablet and smartphone (Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and Samsung galaxy S ll) so may be your hardware!

I am using a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. It worked fine before getting the upgrade to ICS, so I would definitely say it is not a hardware issue (besides, I'm a hardware guy, I have to say that :) ). Given the same version before and after ICS, the OS upgrade was definitely the cause of the change in behavior.

That is really weird then as the main differences between our two device's is yours is a 'skyrocket' variant as I too have ICS on both devices, version 4.0.4 I know this is not really helping your problem but I can't see how or why pinch to zoom does not work!!

Just updated to 4.311 and no improvement. I'm not saying that "pinch to zoom" does not work at all. I can zoom in just fine; however I can't zoom out from what ever zoom level the email starts out as. I get a lot of emails that start out as partially zoomed in that I would really like to zoom out so that the width of the email fits across the screen. An example of this would be Costco advertisements.

The same problem on Sony Ericsson Xperia acro HD 4.0.4. The App version is 4.315. I cannot zoom out from the initial font size setting. This zoom out function is one of the valuable benefits of K-9. Please address this issue.

Just upgraded to jelly bean 4.1.2 and I still cannot zoom out from the original zoom level, which is zoomed in too much at the beginning. Again, I can zoom in, but I cannot zoom out.

Pinch to Zoom Function seems to be restored. But I have a question.

Buttons to specify the font size of Plain text mail (-/+ buttons) are dismissed.

I want to read plain text mails by changing the font size and properly folding at the edge of the screen.

But now, changing the font size requires to change its setting in the deep nest from the setting option.

Please restore the buttons and the proper folding function.

For plain text messages, you should be able to make the text as big as you wish using pinch to zoom, and then double-tap to get the text to rewrap to the screen width.

But I cannnot pinch-in to zoom out (decreasing fontsize from first-set-font-size, ie standard to minimum). Is it supported?
