I have a 2009 SYM Citycom 300i that I purchased almost 4 years ago. It
has a 263cc fuel injected engine and can easily reach 80mph. It has been
my main mode of transportation in both hot climates and cold ones, at
near sea level and at 4500ft elevation, and it has done fabulously well.
I ride it at least 40 miles per day commuting to and from work on
highways with traffic that go at least 70mph. The Citycom has no trouble
at all keeping up with and navigating that traffic. I also get 70mpg out
of it with over 16,000+ miles on it. And that is with a nearly 400lb
scooter carrying about 230lbs of passenger and gear.
Not that I am suggesting you look at the SYM Citycom, it should give you
an idea of what maxi-scooters with 250cc and higher engines can do.
