Welcome to The Juniper Ridge Beacon, a Google Group site for Juniper Ridge Resort Homeowners.  Juniper Ridge is nestled in the Juniper trees at 6,100 feet - near Show Low, Arizona.  A short drive to the Phoenix or Tucson metropolitan areas, Juniper Ridge is a delightful active 55+ senior community.  (For more about Voyager at Juniper Ridge RV Resort, click here.)

All homeowners are invited to use and contribute to The Beacon.  Visitors are welcome to explore our Pages and learn more about the activities Juniper Ridge offers.  For a taste of the prior activities, visit the Juniper Ridge PhotoAlbums.

Announcements for 2008 Season

Please click here to read about the staff and improvements at Juniper Ridge for Summer 2008.  Most of the key people are back this year, but there a a few important changes, including a new Activities Director.

Volunteers Needed!

Juniper Ridge needs you.  About 25 volunteers (men and women) are needed to man the gate this summer. If each volunteer can work about four hours one day a week, three shifts per day will provide coverage during the prime hours.

If you are interested in helping, call or email Paul Wein (928-537-4805 or paul@juniperridgerv.com).

Summer 2008 Activities!

You don't want to miss any of our other special events planned for this Summer, so check HERE for an UPDATED preview of the activities calendar and visit the Special Events page for more details on these great affairs.  We have a lot planned, including a Mardi Gras dinner party (new date) plus the Cajun Luncheon to crown the King & Queen of Mardi Gras (bring your beads, masks, etc.), Bella Rosa (new date), the Thrift Shop Ball (plan your 'thrifty' wardrobe), two nights of Colorado Connection, and our old standbys, the Senior Olympics and the Variety Show.  It's going to be a great year!

Mother's Day Brunch

About 100 of us showed up in the Grand Lodge on Mother's Day to join in the fun and food.  We enjoyed a fabulous feast of special brunch items, and we honored all of the moms on their special day.  Watch this spot for some pictures and the breakfast casserole recipes - coming soon.

What’s Happenin’ at Juniper Ridge?

Where do we begin?  Juniper Ridge was not sleeping while so many of us were away.  There is a new guard gate under construction, the Grand Lodge got a new roof (WOW!), many of the ponds have been refurbished, we got a traffic control sign in the dumpster area (good idea, Claudia!), and we got new washers and dryers in the laundry room.  To bring you up to speed, we have pictures (compliments of Bev and Mike Connolly) of the new roof during and after installation, the guard shack move, and other improvements in progress. Juniper Ridge is really getting a face-lift!  Very exciting!!!  See new pictures of the Guard Gate progress and read about all the other changes here!

Spring Comes to Juniper Ridge!
Spring has sprung in Juniper Ridge and we celebrated with a Spring Happy Hour on Friday evening (March 28th).  We had a good crowd and everyone learned a little more about others in attendance.  Enjoy these pictures from the Happy Hour and from your neighbors yards with early spring flowers popping up.  Can you tell:
  • which two pictures are from Mark & Winona Eiler's front yard - hint: red and purple?
  • which picture is of the bushes along side Carol McCormick's house?
  • which yellow daffodils are in front of Liz Waldon's house?
SPRING HAS ARRIVED!
