scala meet Torino

during next meeting of jug Torino http://bit.ly/9MpJEP, i will present
an introduction to scala language. I'm collaborating with a friend to
prepare a nice presentation with some topics related to Scala. The
objective is to catch people interest.
Probably some discussion will cover some aspects treated during Lugano
First Scala Meeting http://bit.ly/9lU7u9. My intention is to present
too some advanced features: exception management, dependency injection
and domain specific language.
Will be a pleasure for me perform the presentation as member of juglugano.
Ideally, we will do same presentation here in Lugano during next
meetings, if anyone are interested in this topics.
If you have some idea, or suggestion of topics to cover in a
presentation as decribed above, do not hesitate to write here. I will
try to add the most interesting one into presentation.

I'll be very interested on this topic, so for me +1 for the presentation in Lugano.
Regarding other topics I think it would be interested to speak about functional languages in general and how scala succeeded in being a good function and oo language on the same time.
Later it would be interesting to cover actors and Lift.

just to let you know we have already a Scala night on schedule at
juglugano towards end of April, right after the first Scala Days in
Lausanne on April 15, 16.
Few members of juglugano are expected to attend the event in Lausanne,
and will certainly report echoes and latest progress back to our
community.
Anyone willing to travel to Lausanne on the event please speak up on
this forum in order to improve logistics.
Also, we are waiting to finalize contributions from external speakers
to the Scala night at juglugano.
