This is to let you know of a new release of Jug.
Jug allows you to write code that is broken up into tasks and run different
tasks on different processors (even across a cluster).
Jug is a pure Python implementation and should work on any platform.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 0.8.1 is mostly a bugfix release. Several bugs were fixed, including
for compatibility with new versions of external packages (ipython and redis).
Input/Output of very large files is now improved so that it potentially uses
much less intermediate memory.
Unit tests were added to the distribution and are installed (this should make
it easier to test your local instalation).
A non-compatible change is that numpy arrays are now hashed differently. If
you were previously using jug with numpy arrays, you will find that you may
need to re-run some of your tasks. However, the new method is much, much
better (faster and uses less memory); so it was worth breaking compatibility.
