Hi all,

I'm looking for journalists that are covering aging/elderly care to be interviewed for my study about innovation journalism. Aging doesn't need to be the journalist's regular beat - it is enough that the journalist covers that topic every now and then.

If you know journalists that match the description, please send them to my way! I'd appreciate your help a lot.

More about the study:

I'm interviewing journalists writing about aging and health care for a study called Challenges in Global Innovation Journalism. I'm interested e.g. in the workflow of the journalist, his/her thoughts about journalist's role in agenda-setting, and the importance of covering innovations in aging.

The study is a collaborative project of three universities in Finland, and journalists in three continents - Europe, Japan and North America - will be interviewed for the project. I'm responsible for the US part of the interviews.

The interview takes about 30 minutes, and it can be done either on the phone or in person. I'd appreciate your input in the project a lot, and the interview would be a big boon for my study!

Here's more about my background:  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tanja-aitamurto - I'm a Finnish journalist and a research fellow, and I have done reporting in Afghanistan and all over Africa. Now I'm focusing on innovations here in Silicon Valley.

best,

Tanja Aitamurto

Hi Tanja -

You might want to get in touch with David Duncan Ewing over at the Fiscal Times. He's writing a five-part series on end-of-life care: http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/Issues/Health-Care/2010/03/09/Life-At-All-Costs-Part-Three.aspx

Good luck!

Sincerely,
Caitlin
