In our ongoing research work for the Mobile Media Toolkit that we are releasing this spring, we just published our newest How-To: A Guide to Mobile Security for Citizen Journalists by our colleague Melissa Loudon. You can find it here: http://mobileactive.org/mobilesecurity-citizenjournalism
We note that there are few options available for secure communications but surface some that you may not be aware of.
If you are involved in work in insecure environments, this one is a must-read.
