David Cohn of Spot.us reports:

. . . in my efforts to help spread word about #votereport

Barbara Iverson of Columbia College, Chicago also reports:

"The Twitter Vote Report http://twittervotereport.com site is already up
and running. It is supported by a bunch of good gov groups, has volunteers
in all states, and even includes a video illustrating how to use the
hashtags to report voting times, problems, etc. You can tweet them, call
them, use SMS. Quite the total reporting effort via sms and tweets.

I wish this had all worked as well as hoped - we used their maps in
the live blogging at Uppity Wisconsin during the election - they had a
lot of server problems and my own tweets into the system kept
appearing and disappearing from the database. In the end we took
their maps out of the system since they were causing us a lot of
problems.

It brought to mind my issues with the fact that so much of this sort
of work is being done ad hoc, at the last minute, and without
sufficient funding to actually make it viable. A good idea, but I
don't think it turned out to be very useful at the time it was needed.
