Briefly:
Ben Ullman, one of the JLAB partners of The Charlotte Observer, is
using Ning for his site, with Google Ads at the moment and local ads
soon, he says.
He went through the freemium/paid switch. It has taken lots of his own
time and learning, but it demonstrates that Ning for local community
and news is possible.
