I am sort of amazed that people with so little free time (if you are at
all like me) have put so much energy and thought into this platform
discussion. It means that what happens is important to all involved.
That is a good thing.
There are a lot of comments to process, Bill has sent me the links to
existing jtm sites...there are many more than I realized, and Steve has
offered to work out what could be done technically to bring the most
together with least effort. Perhaps the next step is to give Steve a
bit of space and time to work on this. I have offered to help look at
existing sites and think about organization and work with Steve on a
plan. And then we can report back. I think it is great everyone cares
about this--it means when we get a site up as a resource people will
want to develop it, work it (as in PR) and use it to make our lives in
publishing easier/more effective.
So maybe in a few weeks we can get back with an outline of an idea and
go from there?
