Subject: No audio or decode on any band

Hello

I am a newbie to the group but have been using JT65HF for some time. I nowhave a strange problem.

Setup is a Flex3000 Sdr radio and use VIrtual Audio Cable to get the audio to and from the Flex. The system has been working fine up until now.

The symptoms are that there is no audio displayed on the waterfall. I have checked the audio settings and all is ok. I thought it might be the VAC settings but i can decode and tx ok using DM780 and ROS software so the Flex and VAC are working ok.

Also if i adjust the audio output level on the Flex i can see the level meter change on the JT65 software but i dont seen the signals on the screen!

The JT65HF is the latest version. I have tried re-installing but no change.

Any ideas?

Rick

Check your setup in JT-65, sometime the audio settings get changed within
the program,

I also use a flex 300 and VAC, VAC is great- the downfall can be since it is
software based the physical port numbers can get swapped around.

Most likely you will find the audio input /outputs have changes in JT65 and
no longer correct.

On the level meter.  Right Channel?  Left Channel?  Both Channels?  Are the
brightness and contrast controls at good levels?  With smooth checked, do
you have a uniform blue color across the waterfall?

I have checked the audio settings and selected something else, saved and then reselected the correct VAC and still no change.

The level changes on the left channel which is normally the active one.

I have not changed the contrast levels, but i have black all across the screen.

What is the audio level, and have you attempted to change from left channel
to right?

Ok i now feel so silly! Now that you got my to recheck the audio level meters i saw i had accidentally clicked on the right audio port. Clicked on the left and it all came back.

Thanks for your help.

It was finger trouble on my part. Checked everything but the simple left audio mute button!
