Subject: Unusual Propagation
Hi All.....came into the shack around 2100z this morning and turned the
comps and rigs on.....saw a bit of EU sigs on 20m and decided to put out
a CQ call
was answered by a IZ Italy.....good QSO and then had 5 more Italy QSO's
a F then popped in fairly weak then 3 more Italy stations for a total of 9
seems sigs at that time before the band dropped out were just coming
from and landing in that part of EU.....first time ive had so many
contacts from one country and next to nothing else

The op conditions here are a new FT450D to a Hexbeam at 9 meters
usually pointed NW to EU in the morning and SE in the evenings
The comp is a Acer Aspire Phenom X6 running Ubuntu 12.04 64bit Gnome 3
desktop
the interface is a Rigblaster Advantage
i use JT65-HF with Wine 1.5

at the moment im recovering from a Prostate operation and have to take
it very easy...glad i have a great hobby or else i would go nuts...not a
big TV fan

Hope to see some of you on the Bands.....20m and up to 6m when things
are open
