Question from a newbie

Hello Dears,
I have to design a simple application for smartphones using PhoneGap. I need to build a server in php and use its functionality with JavaScript (client side). I have to implement a communication via json rpc. I tried different libraries both server and client side, but I had many difficulties to make them work well. Can anyone tell me a mini tutorial (hello world style) that do interoperate php and javascript via json rpc? thanks

If you use the jsonrpc library from phpxmlrpc.sf.net, you have the same api available both in php and js. It can probably help in your case.

Barrister RPC has PHP and Javascript bindings.  Code examples here:

The "node" examples for NodeJS are almost identical to using JS in the browser.  A much more detailed JS example with browser specific code is here:
