I don't think I understand their strategy, but as long as the Republicans want to continue to distract voters from real issues by focussing on fake news, I'm all for it. Because I'm positive there isn't a single Democrat or moderate voter saying "Huh? Mosque near Grand Zero? Ok, then I'm voting Republican." I guess this is just to galvanize the tiny minded tiny base of the Republican party so they will get out and vote, and apparently galvanizing the base of the Democrats at the same time, with their race baiting. So, I guess I don't see the point of their contrived mosque protest.

 

Huh? What's that? Major Financial Reform & Jobs Package bills passed? Combat troops are pulling out of Iraq? Nevermind! Look over here! They're going to put a gym and a culinary school in an old coat factory a couple blocks from Ground Zero! ....for Mooslims!? There's going to Islamic point guards 250 feet away from where the towers fell! We should do something about this! Like, say, invade an Islamic country in the middle east and free them from tyranny and let them thrive under a new democratic government! No, who would ever get behind that? Not anybody in this country, because they're muslims after all. We would never support premptively invading a soverign Islamic country so a bunch of dirty muslims would live happier in freedom. Now I see that this gym/chef school/mosque really is a big deal! That must be why Fox News only spent 10 minutes covering the Iraq combat withdrawl, and the rest of the time covering this major just-breaking important news story about a mosque being built in lower Manhattan, which has been going through a permit and approval process for 6 years now. Phew! What would we ever do without Fox News keeping us all up to date on the current most important news stories right before election time.

Bush followers might wish to invade another Muslim country on the premise that we need to free the Muslims from
tyranny from their leaders and bring democracy and religious freedom to their nation which was one of the reasons (excuses?) for invading Iraq. Religious freedom? Perhaps we need to invade the United States first!! Newt Gingrinch tells us we need to stop building center because it is being built by radical Muslims. What is a "radical" Muslim? Is that like a radical Catholic or a radical Mormon? They are all terrorists if one is "radical"? How does Newt know this?? Why don't the Republicans find more important things to be concerned about like whether Obama is a Muslim or not. Are these the major Republican political issues for the up coming campaign? Why didn't we ever see McCain's birth certificate when he was born in Panama? Guess it doesn't matter since he is WHITE!
