Stream("exec://jsdb.exe","d") for non-Windows

In the reference it states that the Stream "d" flag creates a detached
process but only on Windows OS...is there something I'm missing that
is cross-platform and works the same way for inter-process
communication?

Also, the undocumented "Process.forkI()", I assume is only supported
on *nix systems?
