JQuery google map(with filtering) issue in IE8

Hi Guys

When I view the google map example with filtering in IE8 it doesn't show the checkbox options (see screenshot) however this works in all other browsers as well as IE9 and IE10. Is this an IE8 issue or is there a fix for this?
