Hello,

Is it possible to use provide some basic urls (prog guide link, Andy's on-boarding guide, wiki page etc) when a user registers his/her email to the mailing list. I think it would prevent a lot of repetitive questions raised by newbies.

Dave,
I feel its good pge to have as an in your face message when one subscribes and also
have Andys onboarding urls in it. There have been quite a few instances where people are referred to the site to get upto speed with the basics quickly.

Just added the link to the footer (couldn't see how to send and initial message, will investigate).

Changed the subject too to include the list name and message id, let's see if that's useful or not (specially the message id, we can remove it).

Added the link to http://groups.google.com/group/jpos-users
Removed the message id in the subject (it's useless I think).

I couldn't see it either, perhaps it is a manual task.
