I have some trouble setting the LLVAR format field 33,
I have provided the description and the sample,
I want to know how to set the field 33..??
My actual message and expected message are differing slightly at the
field 33 position.

iso exceptions

I have some issue regarding JPOS iso exceptions, many times when you
get a problem on unpacking fields,
the logs usually report a different field instead of the actual field

Serial Port communication in jPOS - create a Channel?

Hello everyone, seniors and juniors alike :)

First, a brief intro on the situation. I'm creating a jPOS switch
between a EDC Terminal and the backend Host.
EDC Terminal runs a proprietary message type, the jPOS switch's task
is to translate it to ISO8583 and send it to the Host.
EDC Terminal connects via a RS232 cable to the switches' serial port,

MuxPool Usage Guidance

I am attemping to use a MuxPool and must be missing a connection (in

I was testing my code, wondering why it was taking so long for a
second connection to my server to occur. I found that each client
tries to send a message immediately on making the connection. Both
these ISOServer$Session objects had their own BaseChannel, but each
had the same serverInLock and serverOutLock objects. This is not good.

Hi all,

Thanks for your opinion in my previous post!

Finally, our system would connect to a NAC vendor to receive the
iso8583 message. The protocol used would be: [2byte Message length]
+[5byte TPDU]+[iso 8583 message], so I think the NACChannel would be a
good starting point for my work.(Please comment if I am wrong).
