You will need to select or make a packager for jPos that matches the
network interface you wish to send the message to. Each interface may
conform with iso8583, but the values they use in the various fields
often varies.

Ask your target systems owners for their documentation?

Then you need to use the property 'connect-timeout', but we could add a
setConnectTimeout (similar to setTimeout) if you wish.

Alejandro muy buenas tardes, mira la propiedad que necesito setear es
esta connectTimeout, necesito que mi socket sea no bloqueante, ya que el
sistema operativo me un tiempo de 3min 09 seg antes de decirme que no se
pudo conectar.

Fabio,

If you are using Q2, you just need to add a property 'timeout' in your
channel configuration.

If you are not using Q2 and you want to set the timeout in a BaseChannel
derived channel, you can call its setTimeout method.

If you, on the other hand, like self punishment, you can create a

BaseChannel setConfiguration();

Serial Port communication in jPOS - create a Channel?

Hello everyone, seniors and juniors alike :)

First, a brief intro on the situation. I'm creating a jPOS switch
between a EDC Terminal and the backend Host.
EDC Terminal runs a proprietary message type, the jPOS switch's task
is to translate it to ISO8583 and send it to the Host.
EDC Terminal connects via a RS232 cable to the switches' serial port,

THANKS!!!

I missed that my channelnames were not matching. I thought that the
READY was using the (<ready>BAL_3.ready</ready> ) and not actually the
channelName (<channel-adaptor name='BE-BAL-3'
class="org.jpos.q2.iso.Channel Adaptor">). I aligned the two and ll is
well now.

I new it was something I was overlooking, thank you again!.
