Initially I thought it was MIME issue but I curled via CLI and got:

ICY 200 OK
icy-notice1:
This stream requires Winamp
icy-notice2:SHOUTcast Distributed Network Audio Server/posix(linux x64) v2.0.0.29
icy-name:MC-Radio
icy-genre:Video Game Music
content-type:audio/mpeg
icy-pub:1
icy-br:128

Which seems to be correct. I have the MIME set in the htaccess file so I'm not sure why its not working.

You can see the feed at radio-craft.net

A little looking in the network bar of the dev tools show it not receiving the correct MIME type even though I've specified it in the .htaccess and it appears its set in the mime.types file as well. Any thoughts?

You didn't say, as far as I can see, what type of server you moved from/to.

Hello; can you try appending /;stream/1 to the end of the stream?

This usually fixes shoutcast problems.

Sorry exact same machine specs: Debian squeeze 6.0.6.

Since posting I had reverted to /;stream/1 as you suggested and the issue is sporadic which clouds my thoughts on what the source of the issue would be. The same MP3 might play after trying 10-20 times to play the file. I have checked apache timeout and that is set to 300 seconds as is default so not thinking that's the issue.

It looks like it may not be a jplayer issue as I tried running the stream with audio.js and got the same results. Any thoughts on what type of serverconfiguration issue that might be causing this to happen?

Thanks.

Just took a look at the response from:
http://radio-craft.net:8000/;stream/1

There does not appear to be a response header... And that text you posted above is in the actual response itself, which should be the MP3 data, not a text and other junk.

The bits at the top you (a human) can read looks like junk to me that should be in the response HEADER.
The bottom bit is the binary MP3 data and is nonsense to humans, but peachy for an MP3 player.
