Dear Friends of UU Lifespan Faith Development,

This issue of Joseph Priestley District Lifespan Faith Development
News includes a short note about a Renaissance Module in another
district, a save-the-date note for the JPD Music and Worship Arts
Conference, and a note about youth participation at the JPD
Intergenerational Spring Conference and Annual Meeting. It's a quick
read for a busy Thanksgiving week.


Clara Barton District Renaissance Module
Join Religious Educators in the Clara Barton District for the Worship
for All Ages Renaissance Module, November 30 to December 1 at Senexet
House in Woodstock, CT. The goal of this Module is to inspire
participants to make worship a significant part of the religious
education experience. The fee is $225 for participants who register

JPD Music & Worship Arts Festival
Save Saturday, February 23, 2008 for the Joseph Priestley District
Music & Worship Arts Festival. This annual one-day conference is
being hosted this year by the Unitarian Society of Germantown in
Philadelphia, PA. This will be a rare opportunity for volunteers and
worship professionals to gather and celebrate worship as a shared

Youth Participation in the Intergenerational Spring Conference &
Annual Meeting
At their November 3 meeting, the District Youth Steering Committee
decided to separate their DYSC SpringCon from the JPD
Intergenerational Spring Conference and Annual Meeting. DYSC members
are committed to offering four cons per year, and felt that co-
locating a DYSC con with the JPD Annual Meeting did not offer the same
opportunities for depth of relationship and spirituality as a youth-
focused con. A separate DYSC SpringCon will be held at another time
and place, possibly at the end of April. DYSC members still plan to
support the JPD Intergenerational Spring Conference & Annual Meeting,
but their participation will be of a different nature than last year.
JPD Staff are working with DYSC to form a plan for youth-friendly
programming at the Intergenerational Spring Conference and Annual
Meeting, which will be held March 28-30 at the Doubletree in
Bethesda.
