Dear Friends of Religious Education,

This issue of Joseph Priestley District Lifespan Faith Development
News includes an announcement about the upcoming Renaissance Module,
some notes about the recent LREDA Fall Conference, and an announcement
about the cancellation of the Campus Ministry Conference.

RENAISSANCE MODULE MARCH 5-7
I'm pleased to announce that the JPD is sponsoring the "Teacher
Development Renaissance Module" on March 5-7 at the Bishop Claggett
Center in Buckeystown, Maryland. Rev. Betty Jo Middleton and Rev.
Judy Tomlinson will lead the Renaissance Module. Professional
religious educators, ministers, seminarians, and RE Committee leaders
are all welcome. Details such as registration costs are forthcoming.
For now, save the dates!

TAPESTRY OF FAITH CURRICULUM REPORT
At the recent Liberal Religious Educators Association Fall Conference
in San Antonio, TX, UUA staff presented a preview of the "Tapestry of
Faith" project, which will include curricula for children, youth, and
adults. Curricula are being developed with special attention to
ethical development, spiritual development, Unitarian Universalist
identity, and faith development. You can find my unofficial,
unauthorized notes available for download from the JPDLFD Google Group
(http://groups.google.com/group/jpdlfd). For the official word, go to
http://www.uua.org/religiouseducation/curricula/tapestryfaith/index.shtml
and read the UUA's web pages about this exciting, years-in-the-making
constellation of resources.

CAMPUS MINISTRY CON CANCELED
The Campus Ministry Leadership Conference that had been planned for
November 2 and 3 has been canceled. Campus ministry leaders and
advisors who registered for the con have been invited to a telephone
conference call on November 3 to meet each other voice-to-voice and to
learn about training and resources. If you couldn't come to the con
but would like to join the conference call, contact JPD UUYAN Steering
Committee Chair Lloyd Allen at yan-...@jpduua.org for more
information.

The JPD UUYAN Steering Committee and JPD staff are available for e-
mail or phone consultation for individual young adult and/or campus
ministry organizers. Staff and volunteers are also available to
facilitate organizing or group visioning meetings for Young Adult and/
or Campus Ministry groups. Please let us know how we can support UU's
in the JPD.
