  I&#39;m attempting to stick it out with Google Groups btw. I&#39;ve enabled &lt;br&gt; moderation of people joining the group and of posts from new &lt;br&gt; members... sucks that I have to put people through all that but even &lt;br&gt; if I can keep the group clean, folk are still getting emails so ... &lt;br&gt; =/ &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Daniel

  I see there is still a sourceforge project for joscar -- I&#39;m just &lt;br&gt; throwing this out there as an idea but do you think maybe we should &lt;br&gt; consider bringing joscar back to sourceforge? Using the forums or &lt;br&gt; mailing lists there? I know they suck.. I dislike them.. but I&#39;ve never &lt;br&gt; seen spam on them.

I went hunting for information on spam controls for google groups &lt;br&gt; and all I&#39;m finding is reports of the service sucking, being overwhelmed &lt;br&gt; with spam, and that it looks like google has &#39;given up&#39; on the service. &lt;br&gt; =( Not positive. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Daniel

  Hi folk, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;m trying to keep the group clean from the spammers but that doesn&#39;t &lt;br&gt; prevent people viewing it as a mailing list from having to deal with &lt;br&gt; it. I&#39;ve been reporting and banning and doing whatever I can. I&#39;ll &lt;br&gt; see if there&#39;s a way to contact google about it if it keeps up too &lt;br&gt; much. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Daniel

  Honestly it&#39;s been so long since I applied it that I barely remember -- &lt;br&gt; it had something to do with an Russian ICQ issue. For some reason ICQ &lt;br&gt; was only upset about this on the Russian servers. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Daniel
