More than likely one of your extensions is not ready for 3.0. Check the error log file and see if there are any hints there as to what is wrong.

Subject: [joomlaug] upgrading to 3.0

I've decided to upgrade a site to 3.0 (yipee) but the upgrader is returning an error about 90% of the way through. Has anyone encountered this before? I found one reference to the same error on joomla.org, but no solution apart form replacing all files. (ugh) Does this have to do with the mysql version I'm using? (5.5.25) Doesn't seem likely. Is this the difference between mysql and mysqli?

The error is this:

1064 - An error has occurred.

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'FROM WHERE = 'cparams'' at line 2 SQL=SELECT FROM WHERE = 'cparams'

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the response. I finally turned on error reporting (duh- one of those is-the-cord-plugged in things) and sure enough there were more than one non-3.0 extensions. I thought I had caught them all. haha.
