I updated from 2.5.2 to 2.5.3 a few days ago. After the update all new
articles get stripped of all html code.
Checked a few forums and everyone says that it's necessary to change
the Text Filters.
The problem is that when i change to "no filter" or any other option
and click save it goes back to "default black list"

I had the same problem in 2.5.4. I turned off cache and still had it, and then I cleared the cache (leaving it off as well) and it saved for me. Now I will turn caching back on. Hopefully it will work for you that way too.
