Just letting everybody know that we're preparing for a Joomla 1.5.19 release tomorrow. This release will include the Mootools 1.2 upgrade plugin. The plugin will automatically be installed when a user logs in to the Administrator panel. It will not be enabled at this point unless the administrator specifically enables it.
You mean when the administrator login, he will be able to choose to
upgrade or not?
What about the frontend? many extensions are built over the older
version of Moo-Tools.
I think the owners should have the choice either to upgrade or not ...
any thoughts?

Exists a compat. script for older versions of mootools. Remember that on 1.2 we need to change Suqeezebox for 1.2 too. I modified a plugin that do the upgrade for me, I can load local mootools or use from google api ajax.
