Community Workgroup Inter team reporting

So, I've been thinking if this for a while and finally have a few
moments to put forward this suggestion.

I think that the CLT is overall is doing well and still working on
being more open and transparent when it comes to sharing and reporting
on issues we discuss at our meetings.

What I've noted however, is a lot of our smaller teams are working on
things that the wider community would love to hear about. We all hate
red tape, but how does this idea sound:

* Each month each of our various sub teams provide a brief report to
this list. ie JED, JRD, People etc

This could be as simple as just listing the active team members and
any noteworthy news.

I think it's a small thing that could go a long way to helping to show
just how much good work is going on and keep us working together in a
larger Workgroup.

This would be most valuable and easy to produce if we posted at the very end of each month, as some of the groups I am in operate with monthly objectives.

I think that's a good idea Brad. My tendency is to just keep bearing down working without sticking my head up to let everyone else know what's going on.

This would be great Brad as many users think that jed are a bunch

of editor that live in a cave in Afghanistan with a sat dish to do there work

Maybe with a few on the bicycle to power our computer :P

So..

I'd like to suggest that the first week of each new calendar month be
the week all our teams submit their monthly reports. All in one email
thread would also be good.

I don't think it needs to be the same person from each time each
month, but there will need to be some kind of coordination within each
team to ensure someone submits a report each month. First week of June
could be a good trial run perhaps ;)

Sounds like a fun thing to do.
i think that each team would end up having a "court reporter" ?! and
some groups would have less to report than others.
