1. Joomla 1.6 Release
- With a 1.6 release coming soon, we need to start talking about wider issues related to the release and in particular those that will concern the Community WG rather than the Production WG.
- The Production WG and the Release Team have been trying to blog regularly about progress on 1.6.
- Suggestion was raised about creating a cookie jar to encourage greater community participation in getting ready for the release.
- Documentation is a key area where the community can help. There is already a cookie jar (http://docs.joomla.org/Cookie_jar) for that, although it needs updating.
Actions
- Mark will coordinate with OSM Marketing Team on possible 1.6 brochures.
- Peter will discuss with Community WG about any changes that might need to be done for the forum.
- Everyone to think about other stuff that needs to be done before, during or after the 1.6 release cycle begins. Reports and discussion should be sent to this mailing list.
2. Next meeting
Next meeting of the LT should be in two weeks, time to be negotiated.
