Would someone mind fixing the 1.6 configuration screen after a new
install. It's a bit whacked when full error reporting is on (which it
now is by default).

Question about como_contact router

and possibly happen at other components too.

The "static $items;" within function ContactBuildRoute seems pull out

Refactoring global $option

In Rev 10995 of the refactoring branch I've pretty much removed the global
$mainframe from the framework except where it is needed for calling other
extensions that use $mainframe - Eventually I think $mainframe should be a
legacy variable. Please let me know if you see any problems with these
changes.

URL Change Freeze

I've discussed this with Sam, Wilco, Ian and Mark, and we are all in
agreement. With 1.6 looming on the horizon, and the adoption of 1.5
accelerating, it's time to freeze URL changes in the 1.5 branch.
Basically, there should be no further changes to how urls are generated
(from any of the routers, or from the route helpers) done in 1.5. If there

patTemplate and JTemplate

What do we want to do with patTemplate in 1.6? I know people have
been eyeing to remove this class for some time now, but do we still
need to have the JTemplate class in the framework? Legacy plugin?

Hi all,

You probably noticed the changes in roles in the bug squad...Ian and
Kevin are stepping into the role of co-maintainers. in that role they
will process the patches that have been put on the Ready to commit
status. For that they need full commit access and that with
"privilege" people get added to the development working group.

Putting back the file permissions options

Hi all,
In Joomla! 1.0 we had the ability to set default file permissions per
file or per folder, in 1.5 we lost that and I was just wondering if
anyone knew why we lost the ability and if anyone has any objections
to putting it back in? I'm also looking at putting in a HTTP proxy
option in as well for those environments who have proxies.

Would anyone like to volunteer to refactor the installation routine?
Basically for the moment the main goal is to remove the patTemplate
stuff and convert it to our normal MVC approach (and as a bonus you'll
get to push the "don't come Monday" button on the patTemplate folder).

Unit test branch/trunk?

Hi All,

I was looking at the testing subdirectory in subversion and noticed
the structure there. There is a branches/1.5 directory, but also a
trunk. I cannot determine which one is the latest one, and what the
purpose is of all the subdirectories out there. Can someone explain
how it is currently set up?
