Ok, so if I understand you right, the difference is, that registerScript
uses PHP to define the dependencies within the template code, where my
solution uses separate config files. Right?

So, the question is: Are script dependencies template specific? If they
are, I'm fine with the coupling with the template. Otherwise (and that's
what I see now), if the dependecies are installation specific, the
information belongs to a config file.
