Subject: JFactory::getStream() and JVersion

I believe I found an issie with JFactory::getStream() where it tries to use class JVersion instead of JPlatform ( I think that's what Mr Eddie said ). This causes an issue for the Joomla Platform because its not supposed to use JVersion (from what I understand).

Version 12.1
File: factory.php
Line: 726

You can call new JStream() directly to get around but you have to define your own context

Can we get a fix for this please.

Hi Ravi,

Sorry, but this list is for Joomla Platform developers and discussion of
how to improve the Joomla Platform.

You should instead ask this question on the Joomla General Developer list.
 Here's the direct link to it:
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/joomla-dev-general

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Nick

p.s. a quick Google search reveals:
http://docs.joomla.org/JFactory::getStream/1.6

which should hopefully help you to understand what it does in the code.
