Apparently Mrs. Jenkins from http://build.joomla.org/job/platform/ went to a party on new year's eve and never came back...

I just tried to figure out why my master branch clone is not in sync with the staging branch on GitHub, when I realized that the master branch on GitHub isn't either ;)

I am not sure if the last commit on 31 Dec 2012 made by elkuku seriously broke something, but the latest build went well. Maybe it's just Lady GitHub that got her Webhooks tangled :P

So, please Mrs. Jenkins, wherever you are, come back and give us a fresh master branch with the latest changes.

Thanks and Happy New Year :)

Might be worth considering https://travis-ci.org -- it's super easy to activate - with every PR - the tests fire - and a post back into the gitHub issue results, indicating if there are problems with unit testing or success. Could be a way to reduce the workload without impacting the continuous quality process.

We already use Jenkins. It would have been a case of the tool within the tool playing up.

Yup, there is nothing wrong with Jenkins, either.

I believe this Travis service came along recently, certainly well after that was established. Just wanted to make certain you were aware of the opportunity, if you were looking to offload some of the work.

Seemed like a good deal, is all. =)

It may be worth revisiting travis if/when we start releasing "Joomla Components" (not in the CMS sense of the term) for broad consumption. Having the ability to easily set up testing environments for free is a bonus, and there's little to no maintenance on our side
