Using Joomla 1.5.14

URL: http://www.brightonpermaculture.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=2&Itemid=3

The main top nav is a section blog link to section id 2
The left menu is a split menu from the top showing the second level
items.

The problem: viewing an article from the courses section results in
the disappearance of left sub nav module (other navigation ot articles
in events, conferecne etc keep the sub nav module appearing)

The module is assigned to show on all ( and have tried specific
assignment too)

Its container in the template is still rendered.

Becuase of use of template overides we tried default beez with same
results.

Anyone got an idea on this? DOes the menu/module table get messed up
sometimes?

OK I go this down to the nitty gritty of the database and menu item
ids assignments and they are all there.

Eg sub nav id corresponds to selected menu item ids.

Articles appearing under the blog section 'Courses & Events' are
getting assigned an Itemid per articel of '45'. This Itemid doesnt
exist in the database!

So there is the problem, clearer.

How did it get created? What is the solution?

Another cup of coffee .....?

Ok
So there is a menu record in the jos_menu table for 45 but it does not
show in the Admin menu view......
I removed from the database and voila modules positions solved.

Still leaves the worrying Question: how did the record get left in the
database and not appear in admin view ?
