General Advice On Porting 1.5 Extensions to 3.0

I'm looking at upgrading from Joomla 1.5 to 3.0. Are there are any
general tips on converting 1.5 components to 3.0?

From 1.5 to 3.0 you should rebuild your extensions. It's a big step (or actually more than one). And for the future: keep it up to date ;)
