Subject: Multilingual parameters in extensions ?

I have a component which has the basic multilingual support by means of the
different language files, but is there a way to add multilingual support for
some of the parameters?

Could you explain "multilingual support for parameters"? An example?

In my component you can optionally add additional fields to a form.
The parameter is the label for the optional field.
But on a multilingual setup the field name is 'fixed' this way, while the standard fields all change according to the language.

Hi Alfed,
the thread "Multi-lingual support for extensions  ... more" is about the
same or a very related issue. Origins from a question about translated
"free text" in a plug-in "integrated!?" in the "Joomla GPL Extensions
and Removal of Backlinks" This thread got messed up by the plug-in
issue  so please do not comment on the Multi-lingual issue in that
thread but try to read it and the ... more thread.

You're welcome to comment in the "... more" thread.

Ove
