Dear Friends,

I have a requirement in Joomla 2.5 website on  an Intranet Windows Domain. The details is  as follows.

The front end has a form and one of the field is 'Username'. I made a component for the frontend form. But the 'username' field should be filled automatically from the 'current logged in windows domain account'  of the client machine. The client machine is a windows machine which is connected to a windows domain. How can I do this in joomla 2.5. Is there any API or any method available to automatically fetch username from current logged windows domain account. Please help in this regard.

Hi and welcome, Vishnu!

Please don't double post in both the Joomla Dev CMS mailing list and also
the Joomla Dev General mailing list.

The Joomla Dev CMS mailing list is for Joomla Core CMS developers and
discussion of how to improve the CMS, while general development questions
like yours should only be posted in the Joomla Dev General mailing list.

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Nick

Joomla offers no such functionality and I doubt you'll find a suitable answer here. I suggest you ask in a more windows server centric forum for advice on accessing such data trough PHP.

Best regards
