Hi everyone,

We just released Joomla! 2.5.6 test packages, which are available at the following URL:

JBS members can get other packages from:

The test package contains the following fixes:

Please test the 2.5.6 packages and report any issues within here, JBS Google Group mailing list, or at the following forum topic:

To test (please make a backup and test on a test site), follow either of the following two methods:
1) Upload the zip file as you would any regular extension via the extension installer.
2) Go to Components >> Joomla Update >> Options >> Update server >> change it to Testing >> Save and Close >> Install the Update.

If no major issues are reported, we will release the 2.5.6 version sometime today (sooner rather than later).

By the way, we're accepting new Joomla Bug Squad volunteers, so if you are interested in helping out, please see the following documentation:

Kind regards,
Nick

p.s. For all advanced testers, please test the update from Joomla 2.5.2 and earlier.

People after upgrading Joomla! 2.5.6, after I cleared the browser cache and the site editor simply disappeared ... button and add images opens but nothing appears ...

Did you try checking the editor plugin to see if it was enabled?

TinyMCE is activated and has another strange thing happening in the Back-and the editor looks like, but opens the box of normal image upload, front-end it opens and is blank and the editor is also not appear.

I was using version 2.5.4 and did the update to version 2.5.5 and it worked well, so after it was upgraded to version 2.5.6

I've done the same update manually and the problem remains
