Hi

as i am very interested in semantics and accessibility, i had a look at beez3 and its html overrides in joomla3.
The html files are quite similar to those of beez5, except the param > if hltml5 or not.
The semantic strukture is more logical as in the core, so this could be a good starting point of optimizing the jooml html output.
The specific bootstrap classes of the core views are not implemented there, but this could be added,

What are you thinking about this idea?

We all are aware that Beez as a series meets the highest standards of  accessibility and best practices and that right now using Beez3 is the only way to get the semantic output in 2.5 we had  core. Now we have to work on getting the semantics back into the core at least to the level they were in 2.5.

You describe exactly what was done the great HTML5 from Beez5 and the extra style options of Beez2 were   merged into Beez3 and also the semantic output of at least some of the 2.5 layouts is preserved there.  (open question about whether all the layouts should be there or not).

I would say it is more important to get the core layouts back to semantic standards  than to get the markup in the Beez3 overrides updated.  What would be ideal is for Beez not to have to use overrides.

Hi elin,

thank's for your reply.

That's exactly what i am thinking about,
to make a clean semantic html5 strukture in the core, so that you don't need to override the html views, as you can see in beez5 or beez3.

Johannes
