But, why don't you integrate a com_trashManager into com_checkIn?

Hi Tharindu,

I do like the idea of having a Trash manager, as the trash filter is easily overlooked, and it would be nice to have a single location to manage all trash. Will it have the ability to filter by extension, and support third party extensions?

Do you have any questions for us, or doubts about the project?

It is a way more complex project than people realize because of acl and the desire to make each extension independent. One really useful thing to start with would be to make a plugin or module that notifies users when they have trash in a given view. You would have to figure out a way to do that anyway so that might be a good initial step.

As Mr.Michael Babker, the instructor for me mentioned that the com_checkin is not in the proper MVC but I'm thinking of using the existing functionalitis of com_checkin for the com_trashmanager.

 I would like to have ideas about new features that should be added to the trash manager. Also about the functionalities that can be extended from com_checkin. 
Since I'm not much familiar with com_checkin, your ideas would be a great help for me.

Yes it seems that this is a bit complex. I try to figure out hot to enable notifications and are there any similar components that give some kind of notifications ?
