  With the API pulled out of the original site repository, the vagrant VMs &lt;br&gt; don&#39;t work to well. &lt;br&gt; I am looking at solutions for this and would like to have some feedback. &lt;br&gt; My first solution is to create a repo for the VM, then add the other repos &lt;br&gt; as submodules. I see 2 potential issues with that. &lt;br&gt; The first one is that some changes might be lost. According to the

  <title>&quot;Responsive&quot; github repo renamed</title>

  <description>
  Hi all &lt;br&gt; We&#39;ve decided that the name for the rebuild repo (&amp;quot;Responsive&amp;quot;) wasn&#39;t very &lt;br&gt; imaginatively named, mostly because it didn&#39;t give away that it was a &lt;br&gt; joind.in repo if you were looking at a fork &lt;br&gt; So, I&#39;ve renamed the repo. It&#39;s now called &amp;quot;joindin-web2&amp;quot;, and is available &lt;br&gt; at &lt;a target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=nofollow href=&quot;https://github.com/joindin/joindin-web2&quot;&gt;[link]&lt;/a&gt;

  <description>
  Hey all &lt;br&gt; Just a quick heads-up, the v2 API is becoming increasingly separate from &lt;br&gt; the existing website, and this will become increasingly the case as we move &lt;br&gt; over to our new responsive site (early version at &lt;a target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=nofollow href=&quot;http://m.joind.in&quot;&gt;[link]&lt;/a&gt; if &lt;br&gt; you&#39;re interested). As a result, the API is moving into its own repository

  It seems to me that the &amp;quot;hot&amp;quot; events could use a re-think. It currently &lt;br&gt; orders by how many days removed we are from the event, modified by the &lt;br&gt; number of comments + the number attending. Since comments and number &lt;br&gt; attending tend to go up during/after the conference as feedback is left, &lt;br&gt; we end up with conferences that have been over for a while still showing

  Hi all, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Currently the issue tracker uses the label &#39;hackathon&#39; to indicate issues that should be fairly easy to pick up and fix for a new contributor. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Jordi has posted an article on his use of the &#39;easy pick&#39; label [1] which fulfils the same intent as our hackathon label. The ZF community intends to implement this idea too. What do people think about us following suit and renaming the &#39;hackathon&#39; label to &#39;easy pick&#39;?

  Hi everybody. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I noticed (and a lot of others as well), that at the moment, joind.in &lt;br&gt; pretty much suffers from a lot of nasty, probably-easy-to-fix bugs &lt;br&gt; that really annoys users. Even though many people have lots of ideas &lt;br&gt; on new features, I think it would be a wise thing to actually try and &lt;br&gt; fix all the &amp;quot;knucklehead stuff&amp;quot; first.

  Hi Folks, &lt;br&gt; Lorna contacted me today with some feedback about the joindin widgets. &lt;br&gt; It seems that the development on these have gone further a bit. &lt;br&gt; Nevertheless I tool the liberty to revise the JavaScript generated by &lt;br&gt; the widget.php. I also took the liberty to implement the &#39;Attempt to &lt;br&gt; auto-load jQuery, then relaunch the widget when jQuery is available&#39; todo.

  Hi folks &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;With the JS widgets, we needed to add a config setting to the config &lt;br&gt; file. It&#39;s added in config.php.dist but if you have a working &lt;br&gt; installation already then you can just add this line to your &lt;br&gt; config.php: &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;$config[&#39;api_base_url&#39;] = &#39;&lt;a target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=nofollow href=&quot;http://api.joind.in/&#39;;&quot;&gt;[link]&lt;/a&gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;We just need the API URL to generate the correct javascript to make

  So, I&#39;m *this close* to having the tagging support for events in working &lt;br&gt; order (I just need to do some validation and escaping) and I wanted to get &lt;br&gt; thoughts from you folks about where it might go in the future. It&#39;s pretty &lt;br&gt; basic, really - adding tags to accounts and then an /event/tag/&amp;lt;tag name&amp;gt; &lt;br&gt; URL to show the grouping. This is a good base to work from, but there&#39;s a

  Up until now, we&#39;ve had a test setup for working with the current API. It &lt;br&gt; made requests to a local instance and tested that way. Hoi, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I just stumbled upon the JavaScript widgets and found that there is &lt;br&gt; the possibility to place the info into a specific element identified &lt;br&gt; by its id. &lt;br&gt; Unfortunately it is placed after this element. I had a look at the &lt;br&gt; sources and spotted you use $(),after() to place the rendered info but &lt;br&gt; if you want to place it into the element you need to use $().append().

  Hi All &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;d like to propose that we change how we handle issues on joind.in. &lt;br&gt; The issue tracker on github is very poor and doesn&#39;t allow us to set &lt;br&gt; statuses on issues, indicate ownership, or categorise issues. We&#39;ve &lt;br&gt; experimented with labels and personally I don&#39;t feel we manage our &lt;br&gt; issues as well as we could, and the tool doesn&#39;t help us.

  Hi, &lt;br&gt; Couple of quick requests for the JS widgets, from the point of view of a &lt;br&gt; 3rd-party website which may want to use them: &lt;br&gt; - Please don&#39;t deliver 4 different JS files, especially not all from the &lt;br&gt; same host. Browsers drop to a single processing thread when they see a &lt;br&gt; &amp;lt;script&amp;gt; tag, so the rendering of a 3rd-party webpage is going to be blocked

  <description>
  So everyone&#39;s on the same page, to get everything ready for ZendCon and &lt;br&gt; other upcoming conferences, a production push has been made to Joind.in &lt;br&gt; tonight. A lot of outstanding bugs have been corrected with this release. &lt;br&gt; Please poke around the production site and see if there&#39;s anything you spot &lt;br&gt; that&#39;s broken. The test site is running the same code, so you can experiment

  <title>Joind.in is adopting the PEAR Coding Standards</title>
  <link>http://groups.google.com/group/joindin-developers/browse_thread/thread/ab20d03802d65eb7/26fa22525a61cdd8?show_docid=26fa22525a61cdd8</link>
  <description>
  Dear All, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;On IRC the topic of Coding Standards was brought up and a discussion &lt;br&gt; was started whether to adopt one, and if so: which one. Not long &lt;br&gt; thereafter the people in the channel (Lorna and Chris were among them) &lt;br&gt; agreed that Coding Standards were a good thing and was chosen to adopt &lt;br&gt; the PEAR standards.

  Dear All, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;As requested in the ticketing section of Github I would like to &lt;br&gt; provide you with a little write-up on how to shape your (Joind.In) &lt;br&gt; code in such a way to prevent SQL Injections using default CodeIgniter &lt;br&gt; mechanisms. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;The given options and suggestions are the result of experimentation

  <description>
  Hi everyone, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;ve setup a proper test environment for testing models on an &lt;br&gt; individual basis, but at some point my execution of PHPUnit stops and &lt;br&gt; I cannot figure out where this &amp;quot;exit&amp;quot; or &amp;quot;die&amp;quot; occurs. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;ve created a separate branch to try stuff out, so if someone here in &lt;br&gt; the team could have a look at it and point me in the right direction,

  <description>
  Thanks to some great patches from Rick Ogden and Mike van Riel several &lt;br&gt; issues from the list on github have been closed and applied to the current &lt;br&gt; codebase. To reflect these latest changes, I&#39;ve updated the test site - &lt;br&gt; &lt;a target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=nofollow href=&quot;http://test.joind.in&quot;&gt;[link]&lt;/a&gt; - with the latest. &lt;br&gt; Please test this new code and see if you come across any issues we might
