Singapore awards Changi Terminal 4 to Japan Takenaka US$782 million

Cannot help, but wonder.

How Malaysia undertakes the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) at a cost of RM4 billion when this International Changi Terminal 4 with full scale facilities, costs only US$782 or RM2.5 billion?

In Singapore, they called international tenders, in which local contractors also participated. The Japanese won the tender.

The Japanese contractor Takenaka will be bound by strict tender conditions, such as no cost escalation, on time delivery, and within budget.

We cannot say the same for our LCCT contractor.  How come?

How Malaysia undertakes the Low Cost  Carrier Terminal (LCCT) at a cost of Rm4 billion when this International standard Changi Terminal.4 with full scale facilities, costs only US$782 or approximately Rm2.5 Billion?  2. In Singapore they called International tenders in which local contractors also participated, but Japan won..  3. The Japanese contractor Takenaka will be bound by strict tender conditions such as no cost escalation, on time delivery and within budget; we cannot say the same for our LCCT contractor, how come?
