John's Passing
|
| |
My name is Kathy Girard. My husband, Don, attended U of M back in the early 80's and was a classmate and good friend of John's. We all partied together, shared meals at our home and generally had lots of fun together. A few years back, John contacted Don as he was planning to visit Winnipeg on business. The 3 of us met at a Winnipeg Keg restaurant and caught up with John and his life, and he on our happenings.... more »

Very Well Respected
|
| |
I have known John for over 10 years now as a colleague and a
competitor in the same business. We often got together, as he put it
"as two enemy soldiers, popping our heads out of the trenches, and
sharing a drink and a laugh". I have a great deal of respect for John.
A brilliant man and an honest and respected business man.... more »

...
I read about John's death in the paper on March 4, what sad news. I
sent a message to some of the people here that knew John, mostly
from
U of M, some also from TUNS. Some of the comments passed around
mentioned that he was a unique character, in the best way; that he... more »

and Haley, and the rest of John's family and friends. I met John in
1983 as we both commenced Environmental Studies at the University of
Manitoba that fall. I sat adjacent to John in "The Hut" during our
second year and have many hilarious memories of his antics and... more »

Crazed Smile and Voices

I keep seeing that insane crazed smile and hearing John's fake Italian
voices. The world has lost a great person and I'll miss John!

Our cndolences to Family and Colleagues
|
| |
We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our client and colleague, John. He was a man of honour, filled with enthusiasm - for life, for his work and for the profession of architecture. We offer our deepest sympathies to his family and to all those who worked with him. A donation will be made to an appropriate charity.... more »

Good Bye John
|
| |
Good Bye John,
although still shocked by the news, I am especially thinking of your
wife and your two daughters. I wish them strength and support from the
close circle of friends they will need to deal with your loss. I find
piece of mind in that you passed away doing what you always enjoyed
doing.... more »

With great sadness and great memories
|
| |
Smart, talented, funny and so very full of promise. As well as being a
passionately devoted family man who was so very proud of all Heather's
accomplishments and those of his daughters. I enjoyed working with
John immensely and even more, our laughter-filled lunches.
With great sadness and great memories,... more »
