Dear Parents,

Thank you for making the luncheon this past Friday a HUGE success. We
not only supplied delicious dishes to the teachers and the staff but
also feed a lot of our young athletes. Many of the teachers and staff
came back at
the end of the day and were able to take dinner home to their
families. (The athletes want to know when we are going to do this
again!) You all made this day special. I cannot tell you how many
words of appreciation I received from one and all. Thank you, too, to
the ladies who came and served all day. WOW... several people said we
should open a catering business. I thought the parents at Van Wyck
were over the top but I now know that
same spirit of servanthood is alive and thriving at John Jay. I was
blessed by coordinating this event.
