MoveOn.org, the 8-million-strong grassroots progressive organization, just launched an audacious campaign: Run Warren Run, a massive drive to urge Elizabeth Warren to run for president. Starting now, we’re building a crack team of brilliant organizers to build a grassroots brushfire that can’t be ignored.

This is not an easy job. You’ll be building the foundation of a presidential campaign for someone who says she’s not running for president. But this is an amazing job. A potentially world-changing job. Because this moment was made for Elizabeth Warren.

The defining fights of Warren’s life new define American politics: inequality, the corrupting power of big money, and a system rigged to benefit the powerful, leaving the middle class and working families behind. Warren only ran for the U.S. Senate after a grassroots “draft Warren” campaign showed her that she’d have the support she needed, and convinced her that joining the race was the best way for her to make a difference. Your job is to show her that the same thing is true today, on a larger stage. You will help lead a national political effort which will show Elizabeth Warren that if she runs, she could win—and that she’ll have a movement by her side.

Responsibilities:

Lead the national political outreach for the Run Warren Run campaign, a project of MoveOn Political Action

Build support for the campaign among allies and supporters at the national and local levels

Cultivate and deepen relationships with political decision-makers, coalition partners, MoveOn members, progressive organizations and other stakeholders

Inspire support and collaboration from staff, partners and potential donors

Participate in our core strategy team, helping plot the overall campaign’s direction

Reinforce campaign media outreach as needed

Ensure full compliance with state and local election and campaign finance laws in all aspects of your work

Required skills and experience:

Demonstrated ability to lead ambitious and innovative national political campaigns

Expertise in navigating complex political environments with excellent judgment, sound strategic thinking, and tactical skill

Self-directed, motivated, and able to execute independently at a high level

Superb communication and public speaking skills

Deep experience working with diverse constituencies, and commitment to expanding MoveOn’s base

Highly organized, with strong project management experience

Excellent relational skills and good at working collaboratively

Ability to be effective in an organization whose staff work remotely

Very familiar with election and campaign finance laws

in-State political organizing experience for presidential or statewide electoral campaigns is highly preferred

Location: Position can be based anywhere in the US. May require significant travel.

Duration: Hiring immediately; interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis. The goal is to draft Elizabeth Warren into the presidential race, and we’re looking for organizers who are in it to win it. Deadline to apply is ASAP.

Salary and benefits: Competitive salary including benefits such as health and dental insurance, 4 weeks accrued paid vacation time per year, accrued paid sick time, and reimbursement of personal office expenses.

To Apply: Click here to submit your application, resume, and a cover letter. In the cover letter, which should be concise, please share specific examples of how you have built national political coalitions in the past. Deadline to apply is ASAP.
