General Description:
The Field Director is responsible for creating, implementing and
executing a
field plan.
The Field Director is responsible for managing their team of
field organizers to build the volunteer infrastructure necessary to
execute
the voter contact strategy to win.
the Field Director is responsible for ensuring that data is utilized
properly; including cutting
walk lists, recording results, creating proper survey questions,
using
advanced targeting methods, etc.
The Field Director must have strong leadership skills and the ability
to
manage staff. He/she is responsible for coaching organizers to do
their work
effectively and holding them accountable to reporting their results
daily.
Applicants should have at least one cycle of field experience working
on a
political campaign.
Qualifications:
Successful ability to manage a team of organizers to keep them
motivated and
accountable on metrics: attempt, contact, and ID goals
Capability to write a field plan based on established vote and ID
goals
Can create accountability systems to ensure field program stays on
track
Able to walk door-to-door and engage voters in conversations about
the
campaign
Proficient with using VAN
Highly organized, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
Able to meet strict deadlines while operating in a high pressure, fast
paced
environment
.
Must be willing to work long, irregular hours, including evenings and
weekends
Willingness and availability to began immediately are a plus
Full access to a reliable vehicle for use in the course of performing
the
job.
