Exciting commnunity organizing position for a low wage worker campaign
at Action Now. The successful candidate will possess very high level
interpersonal skills and be able to engage in conversation with anyone
in the community. Duties of the position will include and are not
limited to:

-Door knocking to engage members of the community

-Basic VAN data entry

-Learning and practicing various raps and communication methods to
activate members of the public to become involved with the campaign

-Meeting and exceeding project goals and submitting daily reports to
lead organizers

Some organizing experience is preferred, and the candidate must be
bilingual in English and Spanish. Candidates must possess a working
vehicle with valid drivers license and insurance. Candidates must be
big picture focused, have the ability to be positive throughout any
challenges faced, and be proactive with finding solutions at all
times. Candidate must have the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing
campaign atmosphere. Candidate must have a strong work ethic and have
the ability to perform successfully in a competitive team atmosphere.

Mandatory Job Qualifications

*Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish

*Must have fully insured vehicle and valid drivers license

*Must live in Chicagoland area, as relocation is not offered and the
position is open right away

Desired Qualifications

*Some organizing experience, preferably 1 year or more

*Knowledge of the VAN or other databses

*Some knowledge of the working class community
