Are you interested in pursuing a career in politics? Do you want to get off the sidelines and have a real impact on the 2020 Elections? Mothership Strategies is looking for enthusiastic Fellows to join our Email Fundraising Department.
This is not your run-of-the-mill internship. Mothership is committed to investing in the personal and professional growth of a new generation of digital strategists.
As a fellow, you’ll work directly with one of our fundraising teams and learn from some of the top strategists in the country. Our fellows assist in the development and execution of cutting-edge digital programs and learn the ins-and-outs of email fundraising from top to bottom.
Regular duties include:
- Drafting fundraising emails and text messages
- Learning to code emails and web pages with HTML / CSS
- Pulling reports and analyzing fundraising performance
- Brainstorming content and developing a strategy for our clients
- Q/Aing digital content and client deliverables
You’re a good fit for this position if you:
- Are committed to progressive causes and electing Democratic candidates nationwide
- Are excited to learn basic HTML / CSS code
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Have excellent attention to detail
We offer part-time fellowships and require a commitment of at least 20 hours per week. Please indicate how many hours you are able to work in your cover letter.
Fellows must be able to commute to our office in the U Street neighborhood.
